Charity photo meetups
Edit 3 December: both meetups are FULL. The waiting list for Oxford has been closed. The waiting list for Edinburgh will close when it gets to 5 people.
I will be hosting two meetups in the UK early in 2020. Attendance will require a minimum £50 donation. 100% of your donation will go to our charity:water fundraising campaign and if both sell out that will mean a £2,000 donation. I am not charging for my time/travel.
Sunday January 5th 2020: Edinburgh 10am - 4pm
Sunday February 9th 2020: Oxford 10am - 4pm
Each meetup will be limited to 20 attendees and the minimum donation is £50 (which excludes food/drink).
What to expect
Using the successful format from my Camera Club annual meetup, after plenty of time for coffee and chat in the morning, you will be split into groups of 4-5. I try to match groups based on the gear you use so you can help each other and swap tips. You will be given a photo task to do as a group (it’s fun I promise) in various locations before we all meet for lunch (cost of lunch not included). After lunch we will all enjoy a more informal photo walk together with plenty of time for questions and demonstrations.
Don’t be afraid that you are not good enough to join in. I make sure the projects are fun. The day is not designed for people to be able to show off or compete with each other. It’s primarily to meet other AYWCMers and enjoy some photography.
How to register
To ensure 100% of the donation goes straight to the fundraiser, the registration is in two stages.
1. Apply using the form below. Once 20 people have applied for each location it will be closed. Any extras will be added to a waiting list. I need at least 10 people in each location for the meetup to go ahead.
2. When I email you to confirm you have one of the 20 places, make a donation of at least £50 on the charity:water fundraising page to secure your place (I will send you a link in the confirmation email). Don’t make the donation until I (Emma) have confirmed your place. Make the donation within 24 hours otherwise your place will be cancelled and offered to someone on the waiting list.
Donations are not refundable, but if you can’t make it on the day you can transfer your place to another AYWMC member.

I will email you within 24 hours to acknowledge your application. Once at least 10 people have applied for your location I will email you again to ask for the donation. If a location is over-subscribed I will let you know that you are on the waiting list.
